melodically connected/one sound

Bare Voices is a Metropolitan area based non-profit organization that provides vocal practice sessions and resources for adult female vocalists.

Bare Voices Sessions are monthly group led vocal sessions setup to be organic, improvisational and necessary to help strengthen one’s craft. Each special session is led by a guest artist.

All sessions may consist of:

  • exercising for the voice
  • discussing techniques to develop the voice
  • artist sharing sessions
  • special guest led sessions
  • music-related resources

Statement

Bare Voices works to serve artists within the Metropolitan area’s music community by providing an intimate space in which to hone their craft; offer resources on performing and recording; and foster valuable connections amongst female artists.

Foundation

Bare Voices was created by International recording artist and songwriter Tamara Wellons in order to build a camaraderie amongst the female singers in the DC MD VA region.
